Producers extract maple syrup from black or red maple trees. Nothing has changed when it comes to the production of maple syrup. It’s the same process that was used many years ago. All you need to do is to drill holes in maple trees and collect sap. From there, you need to heat it to get rid of excess water and have your maple syrup.

Canada produces around 72% pure maple syrup. Quebec is one of the largest producers in the world. In 1958, the producers in this province established a company to unite extractors together and protect their interests. The organization took part in maintaining and marketing reserves for maple syrup. Quebec has a lot of warehouses to store the finished product. These warehouses employ close to 12,000 Canadian workers, full-time.

Ontario is another producer in Canada. Most of the maple syrup is extracted commercially.

The conventional way of using maple syrup on top of pancakes. But there are many other ways that you can use this sweet treat. For example, you may use it to sweeten and flavour recipes. Moreover, you may use to make a lot of products, such as the following:
